     Campaign Finance Disclosure
For over 25 years, CGS has researched and endeavored to improve campaign disclosure laws (including electronic filing and disclosure programs and practices) around the country. As part of the Campaign Disclosure Project, CGS, the California Voter Foundation and UCLA Law School are collaborating to bring greater transparency and accountability to the role of money in state political campaigns. To supplement the Grading State Disclosure reports, CGS has created and distributed a Model Disclosure Law for state reporting and disclosure practices. CGS is encouraging adoption of these standards by consulting with legislators, public agencies and civic organizations.

CGS has also worked to implement electronic filing and disclosure programs across the country. CGS encourages the implementation of industry standard best practices and offers assistance for those considering electronic campaign finance filing and disclosure.
