Governance Project
CGS is one of the nation's leading policy research and advocacy organizations in the field of governance. CGS is searching for undergrads, law school students and/or graduate students in public policy or political science to participate in the Governance Project. Current studies involve five key areas: (1) campaign finance reform (including public campaign financing and campaign disclosure); (2) ballot initiative reform; (3) term limits reform; (4) redistricting reform; and (5) primary election reform. Governance interns will perform extensive research and writing. Interns are an integral part of our work and have substantial responsibilities.

PolicyArchive
CGS is building PolicyArchive (http://www.policyarchive.net/), the nation’s first comprehensive, searchable, open access, online archive of public policy research. PolicyArchive will create a permanent, digital repository that will preserve public policy research in a comprehensive range of areas, and make it available to researchers around the globe. Interns interested in this project will work closely with policy producing organizations and foundations to compile research, develop content and identify potential partners for PolicyArchive. Strong writing and people skills needed. This internship is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in digital archives and public policy research.

ConnectLA
Connect LA is a community information portal designed to link low-income and underserved communities to important information and services. The website currently features comprehensive information on employment, community services and health, and a new affordable housing component is being developed. Intern will assist with reviewing and updating existing content in all areas, identify additional subject matter appropriate to the target communities; research the topics and write material for the website, and identify opportunities for local community event participation.
